Jim is set to receive the Hackes Award from the Washington D.C.-based chapter of the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA-DC) on Nov. 28 in the Capital City.
The honor, which is named for former NBC correspondent and founding RTNDA-DC board member Peter Hackes, is bestowed annually on one person who has gone above and beyond in their betterment of the broadcast news industry in the Washington, D.C. area. The Hackes Award is the highest plaudit given by the RTNDA.
"Jim Bohannon has been selected for his excellence, intelligence, wit, and professionalism on and off the air, and his tireless efforts to educate, inform, and improve the nation and the D.C. metropolitan area," says the group's president, Connie Lawn.
